Moving Henry Forward is a citizen-driven project that strives to inform residents about transportation projects and land use decisions within Henry County, Georgia. The blog shares the latest updates about transportation projects, new developments, and local government.

About the Founder

Clayton Carte was raised in Henry County and graduated from Ola High School. Clayton resides in Locust Grove and attends Clayton State University for undergraduate studies. His goals include working as an urban planner within metro Atlanta and encouraging others to become involved in local government.

Clayton is an active member of the Boy Scouts of America and earned the Eagle Scout award in high school. He credits Scouting with providing him the skill set to publish Moving Henry Forward.

Clayton has collaborated with county commissioners and city council members for several years about our county’s infrastructure and ongoing transportation projects. Leadership roles held within the county have included serving as the committee chair for the SPLOST V Committee in 2019 and as a stakeholder for the Imagine Henry 2040 Comprehensive Land Use Plan update. He appreciates any opportunity to help better Henry County and continue Moving Henry Forward.
