Locust Grove is Henry County’s smallest municipality and conveniently located off Interstate 75. Historically home to large rural farms, Locust Grove is quickly developing with new residential projects and industrial space.

Locust Grove High School is located at the intersection of Peeksville Road and South Ola Road in southeast Henry County. Other schools in the cluster include Locust Grove Elementary, Unity Grove Elementary, and Locust Grove Middle.

A notable transportation project plans to add a southbound auxiliary lane on Georgia 42. The project is located in downtown Locust Grove between Bill Gardner Parkway and Peeksville Road. The project will help alleviate evening congestion and bottlenecks. Construction is budgeted to start in FY 2023.
