Many voters are undecided in the upcoming primary for Henry County Sheriff, as evident by a straw poll conducted by Moving Henry Forward during the week of May 4–10. 16% of respondents (or 110 individuals) have not decided who to give their vote in the upcoming June 9 primary for the open seat.
Part of the undecided factor is driven by the large ten-candidate field. Republican voters have three qualified candidates to select from, while Democratic voters have a harder task with seven candidates to research and choose from.
In our straw poll, 382 respondents indicated they would be voting in the Republican primary. Of those, candidates Kenny Lee (39.5%) and Jack Redlinger (38.2%) received the majority of votes. 17.3% are undecided and Willie Brown received five-percent.
299 respondents plan to vote in the Democratic primary. Our straw poll results are as follows:

A runoff between the top two candidates is likely in the Democratic Primary with such a large field. If no candidate receives a majority of votes and a runoff is required, it would be held on August 11.
