The Henry County Board of Commissioners has announced a special called meeting to be held on Friday, March 27, at 4 pm. The meeting will be conducted via teleconference and broadcast live on the county’s website.

Friday, March 27, 2020 at 5:40 pm — the Henry County Board of Commissioners decided against adopting a shelter-in-place ordinance. The board approved revisions to the resolution approved on Tuesday, March 24.

In a notice posted by the county, the purpose of the meeting is to consider adopting a shelter-in-place ordinance. The board decided against adopting one during a special called meeting earlier this week. Since that time, several surrounding jurisdictions including Rockdale County have done so.
