Early voting for the November 2019 election is in its third and final week. Ballot questions include the SPLOST V referendum and city council elections.

Below are voter tallies following the first two weeks of early voting. Thank you to the Henry County elections office for providing these totals.

Absentee ballots reflect the number returned to the elections office to date, not the total number requested and mailed out. City residents may participate in both elections (county and city) but are not required to do so.

As of August 2019, Henry County had 175,584 registered voters, equating to 1.67% turnout to date in the SPLOST V referendum. In 2013, the last time a SPLOST referendum appeared on the ballot, the county saw 12.2% turnout. Moving Henry Forward encourages all registered voters to participate in this election and increase community turnout at the polls.

Early voting continues this week. Polls are open 7 am to 7 pm, October 28 through November 1, at five (5) locations throughout the county:

  • Henry County Elections office, McDonough
  • Municipal Court building, Stockbridge
  • Fairview Recreation Center
  • Fortson Library, Hampton
  • Locust Grove Library

Voters may visit any of the locations above to participate in both elections (county and city) that are on the ballot.

All polling places will be open next Tuesday, November 5, between 7 am and 7 pm for Election Day. City residents must visit both their county polling place and city polling place to participate in both elections if they wait until next Tuesday; early voting is strongly encouraged.
