Henry County commissioners voted 6-0 to obtain financing via an equipment lease purchase, not to exceed $4,150,000, for the purchase of seventy-seven (77) public safety vehicles. The commissioners unanimously approved the vehicle bids in the preceding agenda item.

The funds will require three annual payments through September 1, 2022. The interest rate equals 1.57%. Henry County staff clarified that this was not a bond sale at market, but rather a loan agreement to secure financing for the vehicles.
