Coweta County commissioners approved a rezoning last week of 59 acres to expand the Orchard Hills Business Park, first approved in 2016. Orchard Hills contains 339 acres and is located off Georgia 16 adjacent to Interstate 85 in southwest Newnan.

The additional 59 acres will allow the applicant, Prologis, to develop one large 1.5 million square foot distribution center instead of several smaller buildings previously planned. The site will also include a second building, totaling 1.2 million square feet, and 290,000 square feet of commercial space at build out.

Orchard Hills part of growing industrial sector in Coweta County

Orchard Hills is only one of several ongoing industrial projects in Coweta County. The nearby Cubes at Bridgeport is a 560-acre project planning up to 8.5 million square feet of industrial space.

Further north and located ten miles closer to Atlanta, the Coweta Industrial Park is a 768-acre development projecting seven million square feet of industrial space. Its largest building, the 1.2 million square foot Southwest 85 Logistics Center, delivered in 2018.
